2 Key features of the proposed Pulong Tau Usun Apau and Dulit Range National Parks (from NPWO, 1987a, 1987b, 1987c) Pulong Tau National Park was proposed to be 1590 km2 in area, and to include: the peak of Gunung Murud, Sarawak's highest mountain; Gunung Batu Lawi, a spectacular monolithic landform; forests occupied by the Sumatran rhinoceros, one of the world's rarest animals; oak forests used as feeding and breeding grounds by migratory wild pigs, which are hunted for food through- 26 Designing conservation projects out northern-interior Borneo; and the Tamabu Range, including much of the catchment of the Baram river system.
